3D printed Losi XX4 middle belt tensioner.

The tensioner is designed to slip over the existing lug in the chassis used for locking the transmission.

To fit, there is a s mall recess on the underside (3rd photo) in to which you drop a small blob of PVA glue. You then drop the tensioner over the chassis lug making sure it is aligned parallel to the sides of the channel. Once it's dry, you can refit the belt. The glue is slightly flexible and will peel off cleanly when you remove the tensioner. Remember to clean/degrease the bottom of the channel before fitting.

Comes with the belt tensioner bearings pre-installed.

Installation Instructions

• Remove the centre/rear layshaft and the middle belt for access
• Degrease the middle transmission channel on the chassis to ensure good adhesion
• Apply a small amount of PVA (or similar) adhesive into the drilled recess on the underside of the tensioner
• Fit the tensioner onto the chassis by locating the 1/4” hole onto the lug on the chassis for locking the transmission
• Ensure the tensioner is aligned parallel to the sides of the transmission channel and push down firmly
• Allow the adhesive to cure (as per manufacturer’s instructions) prior to reassembly

Note: If more belt tension is required, the 3x7x3mm ballraces can be replaced with a the 3x8x3mm ballraces supplied.
